Do the AP Test scores matter?

Hi, I am a clueless junior, who is taking his first AP tests in 3 days.
So I was wondering.. Do these scores matter at all? I've heard mixed opinions on this topic. Could someone tell me for sure what exactly these AP test scores do, other than account for college credit? Specifically, do these test scores matter when I apply to certain colleges?
EXP 1: I get a 5 on all three of my AP tests. Will the admission officers even see the scores if I don't fill in the blank to report scores to the colleges (im undecided as of now) on the AP test answer booklets?

EXP 2: I get fail all my AP tests (unlikely.. yet there is always a chance that I will have a nervous breakdown.. :( ) Will the admission officers look at the scores (if EXP 1 is true of course), then my actual AP courses and think, 'wow all of his classes must have been really layed back- easy.'
^ To reiterate this example more simply, will my test scores have to correspond accordingly to the grades I receive on the AP course in order to make it seem that they weren't laid back classes? (Because trust me.. they weren't.)

It just that my teachers ran out of time since the test date was approaching, and thus.. they rushed like zerglings through the last few chapters. We had zero chance to review.

Thanks for your feedbacks!

I think it is optional to put your AP scores on most applications. If you do well, put them. If you don't, don't.

Friend of mine got a 2 on APUSH, didn't put it, and got into Princeton ED.

arti your words mean a lot.
Thanks for the encouragement!

Any other opinions?

no they dont care
