I am wondering whether or not i should order my books online for in store pickup. do they have a system where there is always enough of a given textbook in stock so no'one is left without it? There's about 6 of them and I just wanted to be sure.

Well, if they do run out, I am sure they will order more pretty soon.

they do go out of stock sometimes

if that’s the question

What is the rate at which they re-stock their inventory?

alright, i’ll order them for pickup just to be safe.

yeah, do that if you’re worried. I hear the book store (if that’s what you mean) notoriously understocks books for humanities/social science classes. It’s not where the money’s at.

They’re not understocked. But they cannot have 300+ at once for most lower-division courses. It takes a week about restock, but if you’re smart, buy yours early at a discounted price from Amazon or whatever online stores rather than paying the (nearly) full price at the Cal Student Store or Ned’s.

Except for the custom editions, which can be so much less expensive that they are under the prices for the full text at Amazon etc. Shopping around is worth the investment of time.
