Do they think I am international?

Hi guys,

I applied to UIUC around Nov. 18

and I submitted all of my scores, but on the application status it says

Incomplete Items Outstanding

It is blank for International Application Fee (I don't think this matters)

Blank for TOEFL-UIUC

and blank for
Bank Statement 1
Financial Certification Form 1

Everything else is filled out with date recieved etc.

My first Language is Bengali
but I came from India when I was 2 and I have studied all my life in American schools.

Did they ask for TOEFL and bank/financial for you guys?

My SAT CR is 760 and ACT Eng is 35
So im pretty sure i clear english proficiency.

Am I just nervous, do they just take a long time to match up documents and determine english proficiency.

Should I call them?

Thanks guys

I have none of that as material documented for my application, they received all my matieral which is: essay, transcript, fee waiver, test scores.

Thanks for the reply…

So it doesn’t even mention financial/bank/toefl etc.

or it does and its blank?

Do you have a permanent residency visa such as a green card? Or are you a US citizen? If you are not a permanent resident or a US citizen then most schools will consider you an international student even though you have gone to schools in the US.

Yes I have a Green Card, and I did report this on the application along with my alien registration number, I am going to be a citizen by Feb. 2010

If you have a Green Card you should be considered the same as a US citizen. Contact them ASAP to get it cleared up.

You’ve got to clear this up directly with admissions. The listing of those credentials means they currently categorize you as an international applicant.

Thanks for the response, I will call them ASAP

Wow, I am very happy that I asked here
