does anyone know the process by which someone in a bs/do program can become md? is there even a way to? if there is, is it a really hard process?

... (10 char)

It's actually not too hard to do. All you need is $65.

And a time machine.

Step 1: Go back to California in the 60's

Step 2: Pay $65 and attend a short seminar.

lol .

haha - yeah the answer is no. But why would you want to?

only way is to drop the program and apply to MD schools.

unless you really love OMM and want to apply it to your future practice, i generally would suggest students to just choose the best fit school you get into and apply to both MD and DO schools traditionally.

lol @ NCG

Just apply out of your program.

can i apply for med school at the end of my undergraduate at nyit? does it hurt my chances at getting into a med school?

yes

will what hurt your chances? med schools will look at your time at nyit as any other undergrad career and you will have taken all the required classes…of the nyit 7-year program students i knew the severely limiting factor was the MCAT. NYIT’s MCAT requirement is pretty lax (< 25) if i remember correctly…a score like that is in no way competitive for MD schools…if you get 30+ though it’s worth a shot to apply to MD schools and try your luck.

pls help
how is the nyit/do program, how is the quality of edu at nyit?
does acceptance into the bs/do guarantee admission into nycom
what if u eant to transfer into md at a later stage is it possible
when i called nyit for answers they weren’t very cooperative
