Do transfer applicants need to submit SAT subject scores?

I know the answer is no, but how come on my uc transfer application they have asteriks there saying the information is missing?

I freaked out and sent them in asap and even opted for the rush delivery. Was I being paranoid and wasted 75$ or do you guys think it was an okay decision?

SAT subject scores are not required of junior level applicants, and aside from that you don't have to send in any transcripts until after you're accepted.

You might want to find out why it deemed your scores missing, though.

Hope this helps,
Joe

i always heard that SAT scores were not needed if you were applying to enter as a junior. can someone clear this up?

If you applied as a freshman student or sophomore level transfer student then the exam scores would be required. Please review your application (the printed copy) to make sure you didn’t apply to an incorrect level.

^No, I just checked, that freaked me out. I have applied as a Junior.

It was on this website, https://www.ucapplication.net/ucap/
where it says you can review your application status.
It had the asteriks & red question marks which made me freak out. Although I was certain transfer applicants did not need to submit sat subject scores. Oh well, I did it. I guess I can earn the money back, I can't earn my chance to get into these colleges again.

But i was also wondering, would it look better since I submitted my sat subject scores? I remember one of the counselors at UCI telling me that I should take the sat subject tests in high school even if I was going to community college to show them that I have been trying to go to UCs since high school.

I would contact the central processor to clarify what you are seeing. Although it won’t hurt you to provide the scores it is still interesting why the site is listing them.

The test score page is available to all applicants and near the top has a legend indicating what the asterisk, question mark and other symbols mean. On the pages I’ve been able to see for transfer students the rest of the chart below does not have any of the symbols indicating we do not need the exam information.

That's crazy I have the same issue. I guess I'll just call in. [?]
