Do Transfer students have to retake SAT?

Hi,
If I want to transfer in my freshmen year at college, and the new institution I searched require SAT scores, do I have to retake SAT again?
well my original SATs weren't that good, though.
Also will transfering be more competitive general admissions? I heard it's gonna be harder.

How high should I get to transfer to top 30 universities, in general i mean.

Thanks ~

You don’t. Whether they are more competitive depends on the school. My school, umich, is much easier as a transfer.

Your scores should be at least what they are for the average freshman admit. At most top schools it’s harder to get in as a transfer as few leave.

Can I apply in my freshmen year? So e.g i’m a high school senior now and i’m going to start college in fall. When do i need to start apply, this fall, say October and November? Then do I need to retake SAT if i’m not satisfied with my previous test scores in my first year of college? Will the universities I apply to consider that I’m taking SAT as a college student, or in other words, a student who is alreading receiving post secondary school training?

Do I make it clear? i’m confused now.
