do u think this will work to see if we are accepted?

its probably fine, nyu doesnt know when you receive the letter, I think it only works once they actually send out the acceptance letters anyways. As a precaution, if person A in nyc gets his letter, and you live in alaska and didn't get anything, its safe to try it i would think, but i wouldn't try it before they mailed out applications (Doubt it would work anyways).

Well I apologize then; that wasn't my intention.

:)

lol coot - sorry wasn't trying to start anything ;) just wanted to post that here so people knew it's happened before. I think it's crazy also - but then again don't wanna be the one to test it this year at NYU, who knows maybe they got a new psycho sysadmin...

i'm pretty sure it won't work. I think someone made a valid point when they said that NYU wouldn't create all of those accounts before they knew if some accepted students would actually go.

Blah. I'm tired of all the chatter. I tried it. I got a message saying this only works for current students. I was accepted GSP; found out a week ago.

-The Current Coot66

They do make the accounts before they know you are actually going. I think ED kids can actually already get in?

That's probably because ED is binding. NYU assumes that the students accepted ED will most def. go. You know, if they want to avoid lawsuits and that kind of thing.
