Before March 1st, that is.

i dont think so

They send the Regent's apps a bit early, and of course, the athletic recruits know early. (sometimes a whole year early!) For all us regular folk, I don't think so.

"the athletic recruits know early. (sometimes a whole year early!) "

or for taylor king at mater dei h/s, he knew he was going to be accepted to ucla way back when he was in the 8TH GRADE. let's see if he honors his commitment next year when he gets to sign as a senior (hopefully he will) =)

Well I remember UCSD gave me as well as two of my classmates congratulatory calls around January or maybe it was early February last year letting us know that we were accepted. Also, for UCB and UCLA, an invitation to apply for the Regents Scholarship is an early indication of your acceptance, although you'll still have to wait on your scholarship decision after the admission decisions are made.

what if UCLA sends you a scholarhip application (Dr. Ralph J. Bunche Alumni Scholarship). Does it have to be regents to know you're in? Probably, because I doubt I'll get accepted anyway.

Everyone gets an Alumni invitation unless they either omitted or provided the wrong email address on the general UC application.

I actually already found out about the college of creative studies at UCSB b/c my brother, who goes there, talked to the assistant director of admissions about me. But you won't find out before March unless your a Regent Scholar is what I've heard.

Got a Chancellor's from UCR just today.

UCR does it a lot because they dont get that many good applicants. A lot of my friends were informed in Febuary.

Doesn't UCR pay students to attend now? :P

got a chancellor's award from UCR today too

"UCR does it a lot because they dont get that many good applicants."

i think UCR DOES get a good amount of good applicants, but those are mostly using UCR as a safety. but UCR does have a hard time getting many top-notch kids (chancellors/regents) to matriculate.
