Do UC's use + and - for grades?

Just got an A- for a class and I never received a - or + on a grade before. Will the minus count towards GPA and if so what GPA is an A-? Like a 3.9?

When I took summer classes at UCLA in 2013, I know that UCLA uses +'s and -'s for the list of calculations go here;

An A- counts as a 3.7

It kind of sucks :frowning: But thats how the policy is.

Oh, I’m just wondering if UCI and UCR use them. Oh, a 3.7? Dang it…

A = 4.0
A- = 3.7
B+ = 3.3
B - 3.0

…and so forth. A+ does not, unfortunately, count as a 4.3 though…

This is how grades are calculated at UCI, and UCLA. I don’t know about UCR though.
