DS received a one time $2500 National Achievement Scholarship (NAS) offer. The award letter states that the Reply deadline is March 11, 2015. Terms and conditions state that you cannot receive more than one Scholarship administered by NMSC.
DS is also a NMF and thus a candidate for the more prestigious and possibly higher valued National Merit Scholarships ($2500 and college-sponsored) which will not be announced until after the March 11th deadline has passed.
If DS accepts the National Achievement Scholarship, does that make him ineligible for any National Merit Scholarships? Or will the NMS supersede the NAS?
