Do we HAVE to change our CalNet ID?

<p>i was wondering too but did it anyway...i thought it was strange that it gives you the option to use your calmail UID as well becasue i know some professors prbly post midterm grades by calid and if someone used their name, well wouldnt that give away their private information?</p>

<p>anyway, i would advise everyone to not use their calmail ID if it has their name in it...just seems safer</p>

<p>I'm pretty sure professors wouldn't post your grade by CalMail ID, especially for those that have their initials or last name in their Calmail ID, they'll continue to use SID#. We don't change our student ID#, just the log-in name that we use to access bearfacts, telebears, b-space etc.</p>
