This is only the 34,567th time I'm seeing this topic.

At the top schools, the East vs. West tension, where the East is feminized and the West masculinized, is either almost non-existent or highly suppressed (and for good reason... we've been subject to certain forces that have been so deeply ingrained in society to the point where we don't even realize they're there... and we must question them). I'm not saying all Asian-white relationships are built on this tension, but in cases where they are, people involved in such relationships are often unaware of it; I think it's fine if the East/West tension exists (because what can you do... it's THERE) as long as both parties are conscious of it and make a deliberate effort to combat it (unless they have a good reason to perpetuate it). The view of the East as feminine/passive and West as masculine/dominant is also often the reason why so many white men go into Asia and prey on the boys there (i.e. sex industry in Thailand). Even in the United States and Europe, white men who subscribe to macho/masculine ideals love the idea of topping slim, smooth and often feminine Asian guys. The dynamics are very different at the top schools though. Very very few are Orientalist and very very few Asians (both guys and girls) succumb to Orientalist tendencies. I did, however, use to attend a second-tier school where I observed Orientalist forces very much at work, with Asian girls and guys just SWOONING over white guys. It also just so happened that they were the dumb ones...hmm. I'm definitely happy to be out of there.

As you could tell, I'm bitter about this. Why? My ancestors were victims of colonization, and the genes of highly oppressive European men manifested themselves into people like me.

I'd date one - I see many good looking one's. I don't prefer them, though. Especially not if they're not from here and have an accent, etc.

Where I live they do >_>; maybe its more a regional preference?

in america it seems normal for white guys to go out with a girl from any nationality.

doesnt seem to work the other way around though

^^ qft

good lord, why do you even care. i am so tired of these threads. PEOPLE LIKE OTHER PEOPLE! that's all.

well some Asian girls are flattered when they see a white man drolling over them. I think its better to chose whats right, who cares about ethnicity? ( actually, alot of people do)

I think tan Asians are beautiful.
