Don’t hate me, but I keep looking at College Park. I am trying to like it. I have this lurking fear that I will end up there. Kudos to everyone who likes it, but when you live in state and 9/10 of all the students you know end up there or UMBC, it isn’t so great.

AGGH! If 8 is their 25th %ile and they only take 7% of applicants, wouldn’t that mean that most kids who applied there had…3’s and 4’s? SAD.

Probably forgot how to calculate percentages and stole Harvard’s numbers.

Ugh yes, same situation. My parents have enough saved for college to cover UMD, so if I go somewhere else I need to go $100,000 into debt. And my stats are so weird I’m not sure whether it is a high match or a merit aid lock. UMBC just seems to suck, need to find a safety that I could actually enjoy with a good math program.

Let’s see who can find the college with the lowest SAT 25-75% range

You can search on collegeboard. Paul Quinn is the worst by far in both Math and Verbal. Being southern, religious, and HBCU seem to be the three qualities that make a low-scoring college, and Paul Quinn is three for three.

Oddly enough, admission to Paul Quinn’s HONORS program requires the 1050 total SAT. 1050 TOTAL. I’m wondering if they just meant out of 1600. <_<

Not that it’s not a good school. I wouldn’t know. That just seems really strange for an honors program.

Well… you have no interest now…

but the college websites are there to try and change your mind… and many people change their mind over time…

I don’t think that there are really people that can fill out the form on the front but don’t have then intelligence to score more than 210 (what you would get by randomly filling in bubbles or leaving them all blank). This must just be a case of horrible education - the first couple math problems are usually something like “X+5=10” which can be solved with absolutely no original thought if you have taken algebra I.

Wow look at Paul Quinn’s web site

They offer an overwhelming total of six majors.

It’s so depressing to think of people scoring that low. Especially since it’s an HBCU. It’s embarrassing that it’s a legitimate, accredited college.

I’ve never heard of anyone getting under 22 on the ACT. 8 is completely ridiculous.

“Paul Quinn:Greatness…One Step At A Time”

…they must be taking some damn small baby steps :p

What a great slogan. What’s the enrollment total?

2.0 GPA most important? LOL.

u have to be able to bubble in your name correctly+fill in all Cs? tough, indeed…

Finally, a college that sympathizes with senioritis.

Paul Quinn is just an embarrassment :/

Paul Quinn does not tolerate senioritis! GPA must be > 0.
