Do you ever feel inferior on this website?

@asukumar‌ Thanks :slight_smile: and haha you don’t have to read that essay I sent you. I’m not sending that one in. I’m going to write my essays over the summer so perhaps then. :slight_smile:

And for anyone reading this thread, I apologize for my spelling and grammatical errors. I type really fast and there’s no autocorrect so yeah, haha :)

@IWantStanford16‌
Speaking Spanish at home also differentiates you from most of the Stanford applicants. Having a mom who works evening shift while you take care of yourself in the evenings differentiates you from most Stanford applicants. Just remember that! You are unique from most Stanford applicants.

@IWantStanford16‌ Yeah! I just hope colleges realise that some students couldn’t reach their full potential due to issues. And I hope life gets better for you too!

Thank you, guys :slight_smile:

Questbridge. Start looking into it today. Plus I know Syracuse schools have prolific mentoring opportunities and outreach programs for kids with exactly your needs. Are you participating in any of them? Research every opportunity available to you in your school district and community rather than wasting your time on these forums comparing yourself to other kids in different circumstances. There are so many organizations out there that will help you.

Check on Posse Foundation, too.

@planner03‌ yeah I have been, but I was told that you apply To Questbridge as a senior.

@dyiu13‌ thanks, my guidance counselor is actually recommending me for it :slight_smile: she told me about it when I was a freshman.

@Iwantstanford I meant for you to start learning about Questbridge now, as a source of motivation and encouragement, and so when application time comes you are prepared. There is a component that you can apply for in the spring. And Stanford seems to be a major supported of Questbridge match!

Thanks :slight_smile: and yeah I know what you meant haha , I just wanted to know when to apply. It’s my fault, I worded my response the wrong way.

No i don’t care if someone might be better than me on this website. I only do the best that i can what others do is irrelevant to me,

@TheFirst17‌ great mindset :)

I just calculated my GPA and its a 3.709. When I apply to Stanford it should be a 3.79 and when I graduate it should be a 3.84. :confused:
