I've been looking over chance threads and everyone seems so smart with their perfect GPAs, 2350+ SATS, and 34-36 ACTS. I've always wanted to go to an elite ivy school but with this competition? Anyone else feel this way?

yes. extremely. 609? you from nj?

Most of the kids that have the energy/motivation to be on this forum are the cream of the crop- it doesn’t get much more elite than those kids. There’s a significant amount of kids with similar credentials that don’t post on this website, no doubt, but don’t mistake the large population of Ivy candidates on this forum for a large population of Ivy candidates throughout the country.
A few of the kids posting with their perfect everything are digging for compliments a lot, too, so don’t be too off-put. You’ll get into a great school!

No. Originalguy609 is my username for everything. Its funny because It says i’m original but there are at least 609 guys that are original just like me making me unoriginal.

These people are just really smart

Or as people at my school would say:

Dayum deez *****es b hella ratchet

I was thinking the same thing today. The CC forum is frequented mainly by the top level applicants who have a desire to succeed and attend top level institutions.

The national average SAT is 1500, ACT is 21. Rarely do you see anyone post here that is below either average. Most are above the 90% mark and many above the 95% mark.

I guess the “average” students are content with their scores, potential and possibilities. Or they don’t have a computer! ;)

Yeah, the rest of the population are out playing call of duty and league, 95% of the people here are the top 5% in their school.

This forum is full of braggarts. I’m sure your score is fine, and scores aren’t everything for an application. Don’t worry about it, I’d take passion in something over a perfect score. And so would colleges.

Haha yeah I used to think I was an overachiever… and now… not so much. Everyone has like perfect everything on here. But just keep in mind, numbers are not the truly important things in life … and neither is college in the grand scheme of things.
But I’m sure you did great anyway!

The “…b hella ratchet” post. I’m literally dead. Didn’t think anyone else on CC besides me encountered such individuals on a daily basis

I do. All the time. Walking down the hallway hearing tyga blasting through cheap speakers. #thuglife

I walk down my halls hearing things like “twerk for Jesus”

I hear things I can’t post up here hahaha
Also. I didn’t choose the thuglife. The thuglife chose me.

If I hear ■■■■■, hella, or ratchet one more time I’m going to take drastic measures

A 3.7 freshman year won’t screw up your life right?

It’s not the thug life, it’s the chug life!

Oh, and it won’t screw you up, but it’ll definitely make you seriously regret it when you’re looking back as a junior, wondering how you could have let it slide when you had such easy classes back then…

I got accepted to Northwestern with a 2160 SAT score as a soph transfer
