Do you feel lonely?

If you do, how do you overcome the feeling?

Books tend to be a good substitution for other human beings (at least for me).

interact with people of course !

LOL @treefingers.

I feel lonely sometimes when my friends are doing stuff and I’m stuck at home… Also, none of my friends are girls and I sometimes feel a bit lonely when I see some of my friends hanging out with girls. But then I remember that some of my friends are just like me (eg don’t hang out with girls) so I feel a bit better.

lol I am just like you guys, but tonight I’m hanging out with my friends for the one time a week that I do outside of school :b

Oh dear…

Not at all. I don’t feel lonely when I wake up in the morning with your mom by my side.

jk that was so goddamn homo

no. other people are rarely worth talking to

I’m pretty much used to not being around other people.

Yes… I used to go out every day of the week. I was a part of the ‘popular’ group until last year. Some of my friends went to different schools, some weren’t in my classes and made new friends, and others decided to ditch me for more popular girls. I decided they weren’t worth it.

I wish that there were more girls I could relate to in my classes… I almost had a boyfriend this winter, but I was too eager, I think :(

Being with my mom or my little half sister usually makes me feel less lonely (Unless they’re in bad moods.)

Yea, sometimes. I prefer being alone sometimes but it’s nice to hang out with my friends every couple of weeks. I kind of wish I had someone I could tell everything to though.

When your family is as large as mine, it is not possible to be lonely.

Sometimes I feel lonely. I have a ton of friends, but none of them are in my classes (all older). But I can live with that- true friends half the time than so-so friends all the time.

Then again, I like being alone. It gives me time to reflect (haha I’m so weird). I practice instruments alone, learn Japanese alone, read alone, etc.

“Dreams have only one owner at a time. That’s why dreamers are lonely.” Erma Bombeck.
Don’t know who she is, but I like that quote.

I’ve already experienced the loneliness associated with pursuing my dream. My family doesn’t support my dream… D:
I’m still working hard though, even if it is a lonely hope.

(Sorry for the long post :P)

I don’t mind being alone in my room for a long time, but sometimes you just need someone to talk to.

Yes…
I don’t exactly have any friends. I’m kind of used to it by now since it’s been a few years, but I still wish I had friends.
I feel a little better when I hang out with my mom or brother but then I think that most people my age are probably hanging out with their friends while I’m stuck at home.
I hope I can make some friends in college. :(

Do I? Yes. But I have math, chemistry and computer science. They’re all the things I need.

Once in a while… and then pick up the phone and I have people over within 10 minutes.

Occasionally, as an only child.

But I have my friend Woody and the Internet…thats all I need

Sometimes. Even during lessons. Sometimes when my group of friends and I are chatting, then I feel awkward…and without any good reasons I feel lonely.
