I have 7 days to make a decision which will have an effect for the rest of my life. I have to choose a major.

I've originally planned on majoring in either Finance or Accounting, but my cousin(who chose to major in Finance) says she wishes she would have gone for something else, such as a Dentist, Physical Therapist or Engineering.

Is it true that with these business majors, you are locked in a room, in front of a calculator and computer, all day everyday? Would this get tiring after a year or two, let alone your whole life?

Also with the salary, I have friends that are going into medical+engineering fields. Their salaries are much higher for the same type of degree. Why should I bother working so hard to only make around $50-70k?

Do you guys have any recommendations for a person that works well with numbers but not with science? Is business my only option? I like business, but it seems like too much to do for a mediocre life. A life that I won't be able to enjoy, due to working 60-70 hour/week during tax season.
