what types of rooms at cornell get their own bathroom and such?
are they hard to get?

none really…maybe eco house

whats the eco house?

Balch rooms have sinks

The only non-program house dorms that don’t have hallway restrooms would be the new west-campus dorms, which are for upperclassmen though.

ooo^^
does any1 know about
Court-Kay-Bauer Community dorms? or Mews Hall?

i’m pretty sure CKB and mews dont.

ohh
so how are the bathrooms like? how many ppl do you typically have to share with?

From when I went (to CKB + mews): There were groupings of 4 rooms together, 1 of which was a single, two of which were doubles, and 1 that was a bathroom. So with that estimation its 5 people/bathroom.

oh thats not so bad

this is false too! west campus dorms do have suites with their own restroom (shared among 6 people) but they also have singles on a hall which share restroom (no co-ed).

the reason eco house doubles have a bathroom is because this used to be a hotel.

you are the best^^^

doesn’t that kind of go against the ecology mission to have that many bathrooms. kind of seems like it would lead to more waste

Actually suites in the newer west campus dorms only have 5 people in each (3 singles and 1 double), and at least on my floor in becker, there were both doubles and singles on the hall that had to use hallway bathrooms. On my floor there were 2 girls restrooms, 1 mens, and 1 coed, which was absolutely ridiculous because guys on my hallway outnumbered girls about 4-1. I was across the hall from coed bathroom and 8 guys had to share it, while the girls bathroom only had 2 girls, plus our GRF using it. I think the other end of my floor had it even worse.

I don’t think it would lead to more waste… Everyone’s gonna go to the bathroom if they need to. Whether they have to wait in line or not, they’re still gonna flush the toilet and wash their hands the same amount of time as they would otherwise.

what is a waste is those auto flush toilets…guys watch out! hate to be graphic but if you use the john on one of those auto flush toilets (especially at rpcc and appel) you will regret it.

auto flush for the urinals is wasteful too! it flushes as you approach!

thats true, but the alternative is having a gross puddle of yellow and green liquid near your feet every time you pee. for some reason, people tend to go further and further away from the actual urinal once they see the mess. i think someone should do a study on this. eventually you have the entire bathroom covered in mystery moisture.

every dorm comes with a toilet next to the bed

some acquaintances of mine have been known to pee in their garbage >_>

i once peed into a 5 gallon blue water jug at a party (:

ew. tmi. why would you post that resurgambell…

this was a frat party…and it wasnt just me…the line was like 20 dudes…

the chick line (for the toilet) was worse
