I was just curious if anyone goes to school on days they're being tested. I know my school excuses students from going to school on days where they have AP Exams. Come to think of it, I'd hate to go to school and then spend four hours testing, or test for four hours and then go to school for another two.

My school only excuses us for the hours during which we are taking the exam. Unfortunately, after we are done with the exam we have to go back to school.

My son, with a major case of senioritis, convinced me to let him stay home this morning before his afternoon AP test.

if you're 18 you can pretty much come and leave whenever you want, at least at my school. I went home early after my ap government test

Goodness no. Everyone gets the days of their exams off at my school, and IB juniors get two whole weeks off for testing, and IB seniors get the entire month of May.

ap week is pretty much accepted as sr. skip week. i guess you're only really tle'd for the exam, but only one teacher is making us come to every class

well, technically at my school we're only excused for 1st-4th hours (until about 12:30), and after you finish you can do whatever you want until 5th hour starts. but most kids just have their parents call in and check them out anyways. at least 75%, i'd say. some stay because they have AP classes 5th and 6th hour they want to stay for. at this point, i figure anything i don't already know, i won't ever know, and i may as well just go home and relax or study a bit.

plus, it's sweet to get out of school at 11:30 every day for 4 days in a row :)

We get the whole day off =]

we're only excused for testing hours. it should be changed though...it really isn't fair to have to go to school before or after such a long, detailed test. I have two school tests the day of my AP, both of which I am SUPPOSED to take.
***. yeah right. I'm definitely going to have time to study for those.
needless to say, I'm not going to school after my AP on Friday
It's horrible. My English teacher gave us this week: A pop-test on Monday on a book we were supposed to read over the weekend that I didn't because I was studying; 50 vocab words due Tuesday, question packet due Wed., quiz Thurs, Essay due Monday. And I have chemistry and math tests on friday. I guess it would actually be better during 11/12 grades because so many people will be taking APs. The stupid thing is that every person in my English class is taking at LEAST one AP.

There is also this one teacher who is an amazing teacher, but really strict/mean, and she takes of points if you don't come to class, so the people who have her are forced to come to her class unless the AP is during the same period. So when I get her, I want it to be right in the middle of the day, so I'll probably miss it, and if I don't I'll only have to go in for that period.

diesel: man, I wanna be an IB senior in your school.

We only get hal;f the day off (which is the half we test).

Administration forces us to stay at school before and after AP exams. It was alot of fun Monday though when I had to take the AP US Govt exam (which was really easy btw) and once it was over, I had to go to 6th period (AP US History class) and take a practice AP exam. :D

Our school excuses us for the entire day. A morning test taker gets the afternoon off, and an afternoon taker gets the morning off. The AP teachers are pretty nice too. They will all serve breakfast or lunch in their room depending on what test you're taking.

I go to a school in which every senior takes the IB diploma, so we get from the last week in April until the end of IB exams off of school. After IB exams, we're done. :D

We take the exams and leave

Bleh, for IB exams, seniors get the whole day off while juniors (i.e. my class) gets only exams hours off (which was not the case last year when they got the whole day off) sigh.

We get the whole day off, but we have to take the test at a local college because there's so many of us.

blech we have to go back to class after lunch when we finish the test :(
or attend class in the morning and go to the afternoon one at lunch

What the hell!!!!!!! If you do not go to school on a day that you have a test, they will not let you take it. OMG

^^ Haha, that's why I like my school =].

I actually went to school today. Yesterday was senior ditch day so I didn't want to miss 2 days in a row.
