I just found out it's $60. Is this true? Man what a gip. :(

It's always expensive as I recall. I don't remember how much I paid though, since that was 2 years ago.

I don't know how much The Game costs, but the travel costs to get to Cambridge, MA from Berkeley must be quite exorbitant, especially just for a football game.

As for the more relevant Big Game, I was under the impression that if you got your student tickets early enough, the Big Game was included in the student season ticket package ($89, I believe).

freshman can sign up for free season tix starting 8/1, and this includes the big game. THE AXE IS OURS (AGAIN)! GO BEARS!

haha, wonderful observation pookdogg...got a kick outta it

but yea, last year i think i only paid something like 20 bucks for the Big Game ticket..and this year its at cal, so i suspect that its free if you buy season tix

I hear that it does not include the big game. And no point to buy season tickets if I can get free tickets anyway.

Correct, it does not include Big Game.

No. Freshmen free tickets do not include the Big Game (and possibly UCLA? not sure. Unique situation given extra home game this year.) You should be able to purchase Big Game for relatively cheap; for example, as a freshman last year, I only had to pay $12 for the USC game because it was not included in the free package. The issue of prices have come up several times, and readers need to keep in mind that Student (Section) tickets are not the same as general admissions tickets (and freshmen tickets are not equal to upperclassmen student tickets); that is, availability and price are going to be different as determined by your standing.

aw man it doesn't? no matter, i'm going anyway :)

It's $14 for students...

there are different packages you can buy as a freshman. all the home games are free except for UCLA and the Big Game. i'm not sure what the packages are specifically, but you can opt to get only the free games, the free games with UCLA, the free games with the Big Game, or all the games including UCLA and Big Game. i foget which of those combinations they offer. anyway, if the prices they set last year are the same, UCLA costs $12 and the Big Game is $17...so you can get the whole season at home for $29.

that's a bargain. last year, student tickets for the Big Game by itself, outside this package, were like $45...and the tickets for outside people like my dad were like $60. so take advantage of the deal while you can...even if you don't like football! the games are fun anyway!

where would you have to go to get these free tickets?

Starting August 1, the link will open up on CalBears.com

i just lost the game

The game of life?
