me... I dont have one

I don't have one either. Sometimes it seems like I'm the only one.

you are the only two

I have one.

What's the downside to it?

downside? it's time consuming, who really needs something else to waste their time on a PC

Who says you need to spend time on it? It's good to have a facebook so others can reach you or you can reach others you don't stay in touch with on a regular basis.

It takes 5 minutes to set up. Who says you need to log in everyday? Or even every week? It's just good to have a presence there.

I do, I got one for college (literally after my orientation after I was told how useful it would be- and has turned out to be!) All the clubs I've been too use facebook to communicate (dates/times/events ect) and others tell us to use facebook to find out more about them. I also use it to keep up with old friends and easy communication with new ones (who, say, I don't know well enough to trade phone numbers.) Campus events (such as movies/special appearances/ holiday specials) are also advertised heavily through facebook. Even my RA uses a facebook group to tell us about mandatory floor meetings (though there are usually flyers for these too) and also about floor (only via facebook) or hall socials.

I would get one even if you only use it to join floor/hall/club/your college's entertainment and movie/ ect groups for updates and notices.

Plus there's meeting old HS friends...

if you already spend a crapload of time emailing and IM'ing friends then you probably don't have to worry about losing time...
