Except all my robotics buddies are like, colleges are gonna think you have no idea what you’re doing.

Cool guys, I know that I am a fairly good writer, and I am good at designing things, for example. Minor example: Just made my room all white with a nice IKEA desk and getting a Macbook, yep 600$ extra just because it’s white :P. I can claim these are my interests and talents, but to make use of them is a whole other level.

Edit: not all white though, since that’s be a little too clean hehe

Oh and another interest/talent that is useless: criticizing things

But the problem with that is that ‘things’ come up randomly so I can’t just pick something and criticize it per say >.<

I don’t want to individually respond to all your posts, but DECA and Sofia, your posts especially and the link, were extremely inspiring

I did read all your posts though, thanks :)

Mathematics, Science, Violin music.

Bumppppppp

biology is cool. yea?

Yeah, I guess whatever you think of it

I feel worthless in this thread, lol.

My passion is Track and Field. Even more-so than my second, which is football. Enough that I quit football to do cross country, since it made my friend into a state runner.

To me, there’s nothing quite like lining up in the blocks for the 100. Then, once the gun sounds, it might be the greatest 12 seconds in the world. You feel like you’re unstoppable.

My passion is not having a passion.

That sounds awesome, I was thinking of doing Track myself since it isn’t a sport that you learn as much so as Football is, and I’m not a bad runner per say.

I absolutely LOVE languages. Not just foreign languages, but language itself, with a capital “L”, that defines just about everything we encounter. I enjoy studying different languages’ grammar structures, syntaxes, and vocabularies, and used to read the etymologies in the dictionary late at night when I couldn’t fall asleep. This sounds extremely ironic in the context of this passion, but I have no words to describe how much I love human communication in general. I’m also a polyglot, which is definitely related to this passion but is not a prerequisite for anyone who’s interested in languages as well. I’ve attained fluency in 5 languages (English, Mandarin, French, Spanish, German) despite the fact that none of my family members know any besides the first two. Also scored 5’s on the AP’s in English, Chinese, French, Spanish, got an 800 and a 790 on the French and Spanish SAT II’s respectively in October (reasonably predicting another 800 on the Chinese subject test since Mandarin is my other native language besides English :p), and am going for the AP German test in May.

In college, I plan to double major in linguistics and classics. After everything I’ve just said, linguistics isn’t a surprise, but I’m also fascinated by the two languages – Latin and Greek – that have come to make up so much of what English is, as well as what Western culture and thought are like and how they’ve influenced other cultures outside of the West. Not to mention, studying Latin and Greek is also meant to satisfy my theological curiosity since I am a Christian, and reading the Vulgate Bible in Latin or the original New Testament in koine Greek would offer a lot of insight into the Bible and the history of the Christian church, since there are small nuances that often get lost in translation but could potentially make a lot of difference.

This is probably the longest post I’ve ever written on CC lol. I’m done blabbing… for now ;)

I have a passion for Nutrition.

Passion…

for FASHUN.

(uhh…I have a passion…for life? Yeah, that makes me sound deep)

I have a passion for life. And parenthetical statements.

^ I have a passion for life to. And for everyone receiving respect in life.

Piano and writing, really. I’ve been playing piano since I was seven and won a couple of awards. What I’m most proud of, really, is my writing–I attend a school that has specialized ‘departments,’ and I’m in the creative writing department. Over time, my pride in my work has started to stem not from awards I’ve received, but from shaping my own work–the satisfaction in listening to my ‘poetic sensibility,’ and molding a piece towards my own sense of what it should be. [And a forthcoming publication! Squee!]

Wow sounds like you are really into it, great :]

^ Who were you referring to? There’s a lot of passionate people on this thread lol.

tehee… probably east asia and writing.

East Asia—> Learning Japanese, soon to learn Korean. Read history and culture books all the time on the countries. Watch Asian tv, listen to Asian music, etc.
Writing—> I love writing books, screenplays, poems, short stories, etc. I love reading about writing, reading things that people have written, etc.

I was talking about you fledgling, sorry :P

^ Awww, thanks. I kind of got carried away with my post lol :D
