Passion… for rap.

Piano.

15 years worth of it.

^^

I have a passion for analyzing Lupe Fiasco lyrics…lol

^

Are you asian by chance?

^ LOL yes! A lupe fan!

I suppose I have a passion for fairy tales.
I love to read the original, compare them to the ones we were told as children, and also discover the metaphors or history behind them.
…and writing but it seems too common, unfortunately.

^^

Lupe is the man. There’s so many double entendres, metaphors, and symbolism in each song. It’s mind blowing.

Full fluency in five languages? You are an impressive human being. I want to be like you when I grow up.

I’m like you but only fluent in two and proficient in one.

Love always shines everytime remember 2 smile.

@ sinflower: Aww, thanks! Though this has nothing to do with talent imo; it’s moreso the product of interest and hard work. :p

^^

I think I’m Malcolm X, Martin Luther…Add a King, add a Junior

Video games. Anyone who says anything else is a stupid little liberal pansy. Damn you all!

For those of you who have a passion for music or playing an instrument, why do you love it so much? What are your plans for the future and what do you want to do with your music?

@SuperGenericMan: that’s exactly the kind of thing my brother would say. Esp. the liberal pansy part.

I had passions for a couple things when I was a freshman (I’m now a senior) and so I got involved in activities relating to those. Then I got leadership positions, did summer programs, got really involved… and now I’ve sort of fallen out of love with them, as it were. I still like them but I wouldn’t say I’m exactly passionate. The unfortunate thing about this whole college notion of passion is that they really don’t allow it to change over the course of high school–b/c if you suddenly discover a new passion by junior year, it’s too late. You will have a hard time getting leadership positions and showing the passion is genuine and not just for colleges. Rather ironic, hunh? Anyway, so in my case the things I once was passionate about I keep doing to look good for colleges. Which sucks, but… I’m not gonna just QUIT my job as president or whatever.

I do have a passion for history but I was never sure how to make this known to colleges, or to demonstrate my history chops. So while I read a lot of history and watch movies and TV shows and documentaries and generally read about it a lot, I’m not “marketing” myself as a history person. My credentials in my other “passions” are stronger.

I also enjoy a sport quite a bit, and am passionate about it–but not good enough at it for me to emphasize it in college apps. I do it recreationally, and I don’t play on a team–but it’s one of my favorite things in the world.

Ah well, although I was originally looking or college stuff seeing as it’s college boards, now I’m just interested in reading all the stuff people like. I’m glad to see you’re a history buff, haven’t seen any of those yet :D

Bump I guess, it sounds like a useful thread to keep active

I loved playing video games as a kid, but that was probably an addiction, not a passion.

…

Unless I wind up making video games when I get older, hehe.

roller derby. i love the thrill, the speed, the camaraderie my team has. right now i’m on the practice squad, but i turn 18 right as the season starts and get to bout! i can’t wait.

I’m a black kid who sails. Loveeee it. Whenever I tell people, I’m going to the marina they’re like, “But you’re black.” lol of course not out loud though xD I’ve done other sports too but not to the same extent or passion as sailing.
