Do you have to finish engineering degree in four years?

Okay, I get it. You’re waiting for me to say, your son is an exceptional human being, high above all those other lost causes with 3.6s and below, especially those with 3.2s. You want us all to parrot back to you how special and wonderful he is.

I would chime in: You can say whatever in this forum as long as it lines up with the rules. I am just saying and saying it again: there are so-so engineering jobs with ordinary pay and there are high paying engineering jobs with better compensation. However, in order to get those HPJ (high Paying Jobs), you need to have high GPA as required by the hiring company (s).

So, sorry I am not hiring and am retired. Otherwise, I will hire you guys with only 3.2 GPA to make at least $80k a year. What do you think of that?..sorry I am bad and dont be mad at me.

And those of us with examples saying it is possible without a high GPA are just making it up? No one is challenging the fact that some jobs require a high GPA. Some jobs don’t. And pay can vary quite a bit between the two.

I was just trying to humorously point out that someone without a GPA, much less a high one, landed a job that did not meet the job requirements in the job description. Sometimes we need a [sarcasm] tag.

That’s pretty funny. I would consider your offer but don’t want the pay cut.

MODERATOR’S NOTE: I don’t think there is anything left to add. I’m closing the thread.
