I was just wondering... if I go to business school, I want to do it right out of college. Is this possible, or do business schools expect work experience? i.e. will I be at a huge disadvantage if I don't have a couple years of work experience before I apply to business school? Thanks! :D

Most people accepted by top b-schools have work experience. If you go to any website of a business school you can usually find a class profile and usually it'll show that their students average 2-5 years of work experience and that over 90% of their admits have at least some full-time work experience after college. The average age at matriculation is usually around 27 or 28.

I personally don't think it's a good idea to go to b-school right out of college, unless you're fortunate enough to get in to a top 10 school. Companies might not hire you out of b-school because you have no work experience, and the jobs that you might be able to get might not pay you what you want. Plus, many of your classmates will be much older and some will be married with children. You won't be able to relate to them as much, and social networking is a huge part of business school.

My advice is to get work experience then apply. Don't rush it.
