I drink the alcoholic beverages or smoke occasionally so I don't have any room to judge. Besides, they're not that dangerous if you know how to control yourself.

No, especially if it's marijuana. The schedule I classification is ridiculous. I would be deeply concerned if my friends took up heroin, but I wouldn't be judgmental.

^ I laughed out loud at the "deeply concerned" comment.

haha i wish half the people here would just get a life

BLAH BLAH BLAH ANOTHER ALCOHOL/DRUG THREAD BLAH BLAH BLAH

I don't judge. Is anyone here really in a position to judge?

Absolutely.

moderation is the key. and trying to stay away from harder drugs.
let's be honest, alcohol is much "worse" for you than weed. weed is just illegal because the government can't tax the ***** out of it. no one has "died" from weed. you can't OD (i have friends who've smoked 20 continuous bowls and haven't died). if you do it all in moderation, you'll be fine. i'v probably had alcohol more than weed, but i've come to the conclusion based on personal experiences, friend's experiences, and published statistics/research that there is an unfair stigma attached to marijuana.

i don't judge my friends who drink/smoke/do drugs as long as they are "smart" about it. (in " " so people don't jump on me for saying using is smart. and yes i think there is a smart way of using substances). cigarettes...i think is kind of dumb but i don't judge others for it. it's one of those things that's occasionally chill but not worth getting addicted to. and yes i occasionally smoke weed and drink, cigarettes rarely (only if i'm drunk). i also consider myself "CC-tier" student heading toward a good college. i got straight As in 12 classes this year, have a good relationship with my friends and family, and have relatively kept out of trouble. so i think if you control yourself, you can prevent yourself from going down the "bad path." honestly, live a little.

alexx....props to you

I only judge smokers. And that's usually cause smokers smell like well... cigarette smoke and it stinks terribly, and I try to steer from that stench.

yes - people shouldn't be doing it period

i mean it literally ruins your body, costs you money, blah blah - it's negative all around

i don't do that stuff & really feel "uncomfortable" when my friends drink - but i can't judge them completely based off that - even though they know that i hate when they talk about it - it doesn't make the situation better when i have an alcoholic uncle.

I've tried alcohol a few times. It was fun, but it gets boring really quickly. I don't know how people can continue to get drunk every weekend; occasionally, it's fun, but if it's excessive, it's a waste of time and money.

I don't judge people who sometimes spend their time doing things that can be harmful to their bodies. Their bodies are their responsibilities only.

I do, however, judge people who think that their habits are badass and brag about them. You know: all those people who have drinking parties and upload billions of pictures of themselves holding those stupid red plastic cups and playing BP, and then post comments on each other's like "OMGMGM I WAS SO GONEEE LOLLzZ." It reached a new low a week ago when a group of girls uploaded a series of pictures of themselves posed next to a trash can full of their empty beer bottles and cans.

I judge just about everyone I know who drinks, smokes, or does drugs. I'm sure most people do as well.

I don't judge as long as they keep their life under control

I judge just about everyone I know who drinks, smokes, or does drugs.

Who doesn't?

Well, that came off rather strongly. It comes with the enthusiasm of seeing another alcohol/drug thread.

Rather, I meant more that it seems weird for people to be so opposed to even trying alcohol in moderation. It won't kill you, it won't even mess you up. The abuse of drugs and alcohol is always terrible though. In conclusion, cocaine's a helluva drug.

I dont judge. I do have a question though that maybe someone here can asnwer me. My friend wanted to know if taking just 1 pill of oxycontin could be extremely bad for him. He said he found a container full of it because his aunt uses it(im guessing prescribed) and he took one, but didnt take it yet. He just wants to take one just to see how it feels and then he says he wont ever try it again. I told i wasnt really sure but i dont think it will be that bad if he took just one because people use it a pain reliever. Does any one know if just taking one would be extremely harmful to his body

all about the dosage. for someone with no opiate tolerance(and even more so if they've NEVER used them recreationally), i wouldn't recommend anything over 20 mg. if he's railing them, 10 mg will be plenty.

shouldn't be harmful, but it is pretty much synth heroin.

I have some sort of disease i think. If i see somebody drinking or smoking then I just say to myself "well, your better off than them." I think im psychotic

I don't judge people who drink or smoke, but none of my friends is involved in that kind of stuff. I've drifted away from one of my close middle school friends because she got sucked in by the drug scene, though, and I've seen how it can set someone back.

I guess to an extent, I just hope my not drinking will help me get ahead of the party-hard kids in the long run. I don't like when people who spend their weekends getting trashed and high somehow get A's in school.

I don't judge them, because it's their own choice. And I'm not one to preach to them like "ohohoh you know how bad that is for you?" Obviously with society today, I'm sure they're all informed of the possible consequences and have chosen to disregard them and believe themselves somehow invincible to the inevitable. But it's their decision and I don't think of them as "lesser" than myself.

It'd be pretty hypocritical either way, since I kind of am addicted to painkillers myself.. like.. ok really addicted. But at least it's not an illegal drug! :]
