<p>Some schools take your transcripts and re-calculate your GPA. Take UF for example…they take your academic classes, and give you +.5 for each Pre-IB/Honors class. They give you +1 for each AP/IB class.</p>
<p>If UF does it, does that mean FSU does too?</p>
<p>Most schools will refigure your GPA based on their own criteria. Weighting systems are so varied from school to school that it would be impossible to use your weighted GPA. On the other hand, some schools want to take into account that you took honors or AP classes, so they create their own system. Each school does it their own way.</p>
