tcherrypie, my school has that too. my mom used to do that freshman/sophomore year but she's been more lenient this past year. i guess your mom checking up on you could be added motivation?

High school is, well, high school. I want to get out, but I generally like it. I hate dealing with the people I don't like, but it's not the end of the world. The worst part is the monotony -doing the same thing every.single. day. It wear on you after a few months.

it is indeed horrifying. especially with bad classes. i cant wait till i test-out/etc out of the ridiculous high school courses here, so i can just take classes at the local CC or online. :D

Agreed about the monotony part of high school. I go to a relatively small school (1200 kids total) and I see the same faces, same teachers, same routine, same everything every day.

Another thing that bugs me is the relationship drama that happens in high school. It's so silly.

omg. relationship drama. yea. its annoying.

It depends. I like high school sports: playing, off-season, watching, rivalries, all that. I like the clubs that I'm in. And this year I have the pleasure of having the best teacher in the school for the second year in a row for AP Calc. Basically I like all my pre-lunch classes (Calc is one) and art. And I like my bio research, it was required but I really like it and now I think I've got the bug. And I have a decent circle of friends. But I don't like drama and hearing about it, and when I say that I mean it. I hate it. I also feel like nobody in my school has the same goals as I do academically. I only know of a few other people who want to do an academic career, and most people don't care much about where they go to college (as in they don't think about it). OH (ranting), one thing I don't understand is some of the "overachievers" in this school. As people, I have no problems with them they are some of my closer friends. But they do all this stuff, like taking AP science classes when they want to go into business, and they don't like it and complain about it a lot, and they also don't care where they go to college (or seem not to). So my question is, why do it? My guess is false obligation, image control, or something. Idk, for some reason that bothers me. Can't place it.

computerized - haha you think 1200 total kids is small, HA!!!! Try 510!!!!!!!!! UUUUUGGGHHHH it sucks seeing the same people EVERYDAY.

NO! (10char)

Yeah, I'd imagine that would suck more than my situation.

Yes. I do like school. Well, sometimes. I don't like it when we waste time in graduation requirement classes while I have urgent AP/Academic Decathlon/mock trial/whatever stuff lol. But it's okay. Those grad req classes are pretty relaxing, too.

no. in ever class on the board, i have written a countdown until graduation.

What really gets to me is this online portal that I have where I can view my grades and such. It is SOOO depressing. I have a C+ in Honors english cause I missed a point here a there. So far in this quarter, we have had barely 200 points. Most of them tough quizzes, which I get like 7 or 8's... and thats before I was motivated.

Also, I missed LIKE ONE DAY. And online, they put zeros in the assignments that I missed. That brings my math from an A to a B, my spanish from a A- to a B and in APUSH, A B+ to a C!!!! Cmon, I've made them up, and such, except they haven't updated it. I am so mad cause on the board I have 2 A's!! I should have more. Also, my spanish teacher gives us 'Verb Quizzes' Biggest BS ever. Everyone gets at least 3 points off, which brings me to a average C in that catogroy, which is weighted 25%!! What the....

I hated high school last year because everyone was just generally mean to me and the classes were easy and stupid. This year I like it better because I have harder, more challenging classes and people like me.
Uhm, I have exactly 220 people in my whole high school to all you who think your school is small.

^i know someone who had 50 in a k-12

and no. i dont like high school, people need to learn to have some fun.

I love high school.

Just not the hw. Love the people/environment though.

I loved it until this year (i got senioritis). Though that was probably because I HATED middle school.

and my school has the Portal as well, pretty retarded.

All guys + dogmatic religious/political viewpoints + busy work = Fail

For the most part.... No. I'm over the drama, the people, the teachers, and the lame classes.
