Does anyone miss high school life? And why?

No.

...

Yer I miss school!Only the days where my teachers where never in of course =)

no...............

I miss my HS because it was the most amazing intellectual experience of my life. I love my college but nothing was like the faculty and student discussions at my HS.

what high school did you go to, hazmat?

"I miss my HS because it was the most amazing intellectual experience of my life."

I pray to god my high school experience isn't the most intellectual of my life. That will be pretty sad lol.

LOL haha I'd probably miss my high school, but I think I'm ready for a new experience lol! I want freedom! I want to go to a club without my parents stopping me, cruise around town, meet new people, and study my ass off!

I have spoken with alums from my HS and others of its ilk. Many comments are similar that it was the hardest they ever worked, the most amazing mentoring and the stimulating curriculum. These are folks who had graduate training and many agree. I know that most HS experiences are not this way but for me it was amazing.

I miss my friends from high school... now that we're almost seniors in college, many of us have drifted apart.

But I don't miss high school per se.

I was homeschooled for high school, but I was still involved in the "social scene," and I definitely don't miss that. The guys actually get stupider once they hit college -- I blame the alcohol and more sudden opportunities for sex -- but the girls seem to get a little better. That's been my experience, anyway.

yes- free laundry at home :)

its funny coz even tho i had VERY close friends....i completely forgot about them about a week after graduation........i always thought highschool was a joke in every aspect imaginable.......

its time to move on.....

::shrugs at the thought of high school....then leaves thread, vomiting:

does anyone still talk to their high school friends?

Not really. Everyone says they'll keep in touch, but for the most part, you move on. I keep in touch with most people over LiveJournal and IM, and we see each other around town during the summers but for the most part, only the really close people keep in constant contact.

Five other people from my graduating class came to my school in addition to a few from subsequent classes...I still regularly see/talk to a couple of them, but that's because they're close to my girlfriend. I occasionally talk to a couple other old friends from high school, but not on a regular basis. No one had livejournals when I graduated high school, so I don't keep track of anyone via the net. Granted, I rarely go home for more than a couple days and pretty much live in Boston year 'round.

dont miss it at all

Hazmat--did you go to Exeter?? a friend of mine who did has expressed similar feelings. She's almost depressed about going to college because she doesn't think it can ever live up to her HS, and she's going to Wellsley so it's not like she won't be challenged.

I'll miss the fact that I could miss a day, get my parents to write a note, and get it excused without any trouble, easily attaining extra time to do homework...something I won't be able to do in college

I won't miss underpaid and (justifiably) disgruntled public school teachers...out of the 6 I had last year, one knew their subject well and could teach it effectively, one displayed a genuine concern for students, and one other did both

hell yea i miss HS; the best memories of my life. HS for me was the turning point into the real world and alota new things ;).
