Do you need a title for "Topic of your choice" CommonApp Essay??

Do you have to write the title at the beginning of your CommonApp Essay for the "Topic of your choice"?

And I want to use my University of Chicago essay for CommonApp....
If I write the same exact essay question Chicago has on the CommonApp, would universities know it's my Chicago essay and think I was too lazy to write another one?

And I'm hesitating between my Chicago essay and CommonApp essay. Chiacgo shows my intellectual side, while the CommonApp shows more of my human side. Which one should I go with?

I would go with the CommonApp, although maybe attempt to add a bit more of an intellectual side to it. Colleges will see how intellectual/studious you are from your secondary school record, standardized tests, etc. - the essay questions are suppose to give the adcoms a since of your identity, your personality, and the like. Plus, they're more likely to reject a set of facts and figures than a person that they know and, maybe, can relate to.

Also, I don't think the commonapp essay needs a topic. Just make sure it's self-explanatory.

no i didn't put one for mine... its just an experience... and they'll know pretty quickly what its about when the first sentence has the words "pleasure" and "trojan condoms" in it

WHAT?
So if if you have a good first sentence, then it’s fine, right?

I didn’t have a title either. I don’t think it will be much of a problem.
