my friend has a collegeboard college manual and it says that for UCI, you need to have taken match iic and another subject in order to get into UCI.

i find this odd since all the other UC's accept 2 subject tests on any subject.

so, is it true you need to take math iic to get admitted into irvine?

thanks.

umm...i really dont think so. they dont take math ic that's for sure. for my year math iic wasnt required though. i dont think...i took it anyway lol. call admissions and ask.

I thought it was a requirement for all UCs...taking SAT II Math lvl 2 and another subject test

I took Spanish and US History for my subject tests and I got in to UCI so no, you are not required to take math IIC. The only time you have to take the Math IIC test is if you are gonna take a subject test in math.

Some majors recommend that incoming freshmen take the Math IIC exam. (Some examples that come to mind are Chemistry, any type of Engineering, and Physics.) In other words, if you're not planning on majoring in anything that's math-or-science-intensive, you don't have to take Math IIC. Otherwise, you should consider it.

thanks a lot guys.

big help.
