So i taking AP calc this year and most my friends have been telling me thats its not that hard and easier than pre-cal. I never been bad at math in fact i had A's in all my math classes till Alegbra 2 and then B-'s in Pre-cal (in which i kind of slacked off ). Then now I'm now giving the same effort and but i got a 67 on the first quiz and then a 69 on the last one. I'm the type of guy that makes a lot of little mistakes that end up killing me. The teacher makes his test hard and grades even harder compared to the AP test. I want to do premed at irvine and hope to become a surgeon in the future but i looked up the majors offered at Irvine and the only major I found with premed also was a biomedical engineering major and I've heard anything engineering related requires alot of math. I doubting myself now and thinking if I can keep up with college calculus or not. What should I do???

You don’t have to major in something that says premed in the major to go to med school.

Med Schools accept people of all majors. Med Schools will however require that you take the following

1 year of general chemistry
1 year of organic chemistry
1 year of physics
1 year of introductory biology
1 year of of math or perhaps one 1 semester of calc and 1 semester of stats

I recommend not taking the AP test unless you are consistently getting 4’s and 5’s on practice and not majoring in any sort of engineering unless it’s truly your passion. As Monkeyboy said med schools accept all majors.

As to what you should do: sit next to the top guy/girl in class (make sure they’re nice) and just get help from him/her.
