Do you need to get a new student visa if you change majors?

I'm currently a senior in HS, going onto college next year. I'm seriously thinking about swapping majors, but I already applied for a visa interview. I was wondering if I'd have to run the gauntlet of registration again, because it costs a lot of money to register each time. :/ Help!

Nope, no worries. Once you formally change your major, notify the person in charge of your I-20 and then can make the necessary adjustments.

If you are lucky, you won’t even need to “change” your major because you may not have one yet. Except for very specialized programs, American students usually declare their major after they arrive on campus and start taking classes.

Whew! Okay then, thank you!
