i don't think i can study well by myself. i have tried it but it has never gone well. now contrast that to all the times i studied with friends - oh boy it was such fun! sometimes we folded paper airplanes, made propeller noises to punctuate the silence of their gliding, prepared snacks, psyched ourselves up with internet articles about studying (other times mocked said articles when they made unsubstantiated claims, or when the author used the word focus in excess), sharpened lots and lots of pencils, discussed pencil sharpening, made lists, divided tasks, reorganized our fleet of paper airplanes (making expert runaway sounds to accompany the movements). we got a lot done.

From your description, it doesn’t sound like you study well either way. :p

I do

Not

It depends on what class it is. For foreign language classes, I study in study groups to get more practice with the language. For most other things, I either study on my own or meet up with a friend to see if they understand something I don’t (or vice versa).

I study by myself for the most part. I get study groups together sometimes for some classes though. I usually put together a study group for my math classes, but those honestly really just turn into me explaining how to do the homework problems to other people, and answering their questions. I usually already have my homework done ahead of time though too.

I may get a small study group together for physics this fall, but I don’t really know yet.

For AP Chem, studying with others was vital. For math, not a ton.
