<p>I'm on my second laptop for school use (first one was a POS ebay ghetto laptop) but I rarely take it to school. I have all my school work on it (well, actually I have it on a network hard drive that my 2 desktops and notebook can access) but the only reason I'd ever take it to school is for a powerpoint presentation or some other media project in a group.</p>
<p>I can't imagine taking notes on a laptop unless I had a tablet PC with OneNote. I just prefer pen and pencil for notes, I can do it so mcuh faster and it's a lot more organized. I'm a fast typist but very inaccurate and so I would get confused when reading back the notes at home.</p>
<p>Occasionally I'll take it with me to school and leave it in my car or backpack then go to the library or coffeeshop after school if I know things are chaotic at home.</p>
