^^I find that’s the case with most schools.

Yeah…the advice I get from school…I don’t think I ever got advice from school. There are these annoying students from whom I got some useful info, though. That’s the only reason I don’t completely ignore them.

hells yeah. ( i have this love-hate relationship with CC )

Yeah…if it weren’t for CC, I would have my scholarship apps in…but if it weren’t for CC, I wouldn’t know to write scholarship apps. Or maybe my mom would’ve told me…

On a side note, I’m reading Catch-22. This increases my confidence in my theory that life=irony.

I’ve found great advice but ridiculous standards. As in, HSL and chance threads–seriously, taking ten thousand APs, especially for their difficulty rather than how interesting their are, is ridiculous. As is a list of ECs longer than the Bible. But for whatever reason, you crazy overscheduled kids (and your parents) give phenomenal advice.

^Of course, this is largely because my huge public school has one overburdened IB counselor whose hands are full enough with the lowest common denominator to focus on the minute details of the higher achieving.
