Essays:
Going to focus on my love for culture, especially my Polish heritage.
Probably going to include something about my 2 month trip, Summer 2011, to Poland and Italy
Also about how joining Polish folk dancing has affected me and how it made it feel better and at home when I was going through a really tough time with my dad, friends, finding myself...

I summarized some things here, but look at my parchment for all EC details. ^_^

No one?

I forgot to write in my ACT composite… 33 both times.

You seem to have a decent shot. Certainly enough to justify applying.

Good luck.

Thank you for responding! (:

Someone advised me to consider retaking the ACT and shoot for a 34 at least…

Do you (or anyone else lurking!) think it would make a huge difference?

I would take the SAT but being from the Midwest, we don’t really focus on it in school, and from a practice test I took I scored considerably lower than my roughly converted ACT score. I might use the rest of the summer to attempt to prep though.

33 is good enough for admission, though who’s to say that a 34 wouldn’t improve your shot? It’s a tough call, since no one outside of the admissions office knows what they value most. If you feel that you can improve, and that the prep wouldn’t take up too much time you could spend doing better things, then go for it. But it comes down to how you feel about it.

You’re definitely right… I mean a 34 will always be better than a 33, just like a 35 will always be better than a 34. I feel okay since a 33 meets the “average,” but I guess I’ll see. I’m going to visit tomorrow so maybe someone will offer some more insight.
Thanks for the advice!!!

What’s your income bracket? Seems like a really personal question, but (depending on your answer) what I will say will really benefit you.
