I am going into my senior year of high school and I am SUPER interested in BU. I have a 95.6 gpa, but that's weighted and I am unsure of my unweighted gpa although it is probably somewhere around 93.
My sats are 670-Math 650-Reading and 510-Writing. I know my writing is low, but is it possible to send in my 1600 sat score?
I am a varsity diver and have been since 8th grade. Last year I got 3 in sectionals, but the top 2 graduated so it is very likely I will get 1st in sectionals this year.
I am also in National Honor Society.
Do I need to take the ACT to apply? Do you think I could get in?

670 + 650 + 510 = 1830 if my math is correct.

If your score really is 1830 then I think you are in good shape to get in.

You’re actually looking pretty solid for Binghamton. I know a TON of people who went to Binghamton(including multiple family members) and you’re on track. You mentioned Varsity Diving; are you planning on competing in college?

I think you’re in pretty good shape. You didn’t have interest in their diving team? Being a recruited athlete wouldn’t have hurt.

Your sat might be 100 points too low but with high GPA and varsity you’re good and may as well try act I did better on it than sat

I might compete in college, depending on how well it will help me get in or scholarship-wise. If i could get in without having to dive, it would be preferable. Only because I’m not sure i could balance everything my freshman year with a fall sport on top of it.

I visited Bing this year and I think they said that they only look at the writing if you’re an English major. I think you have good chance, a lot of kids from my school apply to Bing with similar and slightly higher stats. If your school does naviance I would look at that
