<p>Um… no, unless you consider 1% “quite a bit”. Duke’s acceptance rate last year was 16% and Amherst’s was 15%… Also Duke’s overall rate will likely be 12-13% this year, probably right on par with Amherst’s.</p>

<p>Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if you got in everywhere. You do even more than someone I know, who I would consider brilliant and got into UPenn. The only criticism I might have is that while you have great breadth, you do lack a little depth. I don’t think it will be much of a problem. I hope you get in everywhere! :)</p>

<p>Wow, those are some solid stats and ECs. I think you have a good chance at all those schools. I think you might have been deferred from Brown due to your class rank which is good, not great. The problem with your ECs might be that they look like you only did that so your application looks good, which does not sit well with adcoms. </p>
