Do you think I will get into Quinnipiac/ get good scholarships?

I think I will probably get in but you can never really be sure, but I was mostly wondering (if I get in) if I will get any sort of scholarships?

GPA: weighted: 97
unweighted: 90

ACT: C:30 R:33 E:32 M:29 S:25

SAT: R:600 M:710 W:650
R+M: 1310
Total: 1960

I'm involved in national honor society, the school musical, interact club, as well as a few other clubs. I have almost 200 community service hours. I have 5 language credits (french and spanish), 5 math credits, 4 english, 4 social studies, and 4 science as well as some electives. I haven't taken any ap courses but I took a few honors/ accelerated courses. I also am ranked #15 in my class of 85 and I go to a pretty good upstate new york school.

From what I can tell, your stats look strong for Quinnipiac…although the pa and ot programs are very competitive if that’s what you’re looking for. Yep you’ll get merit.

Check out the 25%/75% SAT scores posted on line:
SAT Critical Reading: 490 / 580
SAT Math: 510 / 610
SAT Writing: 500 / 590

In other words, 25% of those enrolled earned scores of below 1500 on a 2400 scale. Yes, I think you’ll get in, but even with like $10K of merit, it’ll still be nearly $50K I think.

we are OOS and my D did not have stats as high as OP. She received 18 thousand in merit and quinnipiac turned out to be the cheapest school she applied to. She was also accepted to uconn udelaware and several other universities.

She absolutely loves the school and we are impressed with the academics, the quality of the school and the people. She preferred a smaller school but not too small (6000 total students I believe). the clincher it was hearing from so many people who attended Quinnipiac and their love for this school. we have never heard a negative report from anyone that we talked to. I now see it for myself!

If it fits who you are…apply! Ya never know!

The stats to get into UConn are much higher than Quinnipiac, and UConn’s tuition is much lower, so among the people we know, Quinnipiac is definitely not as desireable. But we live in CT.

Quinnipiac Cost for the 2014-15 school year:

Tuition & Fees (all students): $40,670
Room & Board (freshmen)*: $14,490
TOTAL: $55,160

UConn: Instate = $28998.

Yep we are out of state so uconn is def a better deal for in staters. For us uconn cost was full pay…42 thousand? and they were the only college that did not give her merit. Quinnipiac ended up being 38k and change and it was the best deal except for her in state options. Based on my D’s likes it really fit her perfectly and we are thrilled about being there!
