Do you think Penn considers the IB?

Is taking IB diploma an advantage ? Will Penn consider my IB Diploma predicted grades for the admission process? I have 43/45 IB points
taking Chemistry 7, Mathematics 7, Economics 7 -- HL
Physics 6, Korean A1 7, English A1 6 --SL
+3 Bonus Points for TOK and EE

Will I have good chances if my GPA is good? But my SAT I is not high.
Is GPA > SAT??? if I write good app essay+supplement essays, do I have a good chance?

IB is generally considered equivalent to APs for college admissions (although I have to say, they’re a lot more work). If you want to be chanced, tell us what school you’re applying to and your ecs/other info. Most colleges consider predicted grades but past a certain point, they matter much less (around 40 ish is what I’ve generally seen).

As for GPA/SATs, they look at academics as a whole. One isn’t more important than the other. If there’s a discrepancy between your gpa and your sats, it really depends on how big the difference is. Academic rigor is more important than gpa though but you seem to be doing fine in that respect.

Not sure how much you know about college admissions but GPA/SAT is a very small slice of the pie. They just show that you’re intelligent/capable and there are many other ways of doing this (competitions, etc).

just say which college in penn you applying to for a better answer to that quertion twin. moreover, ib is given WAY more preference than AP.

The college admissions officers know that IB is generally more rigorous than AP in terms of content, but of course, it all comes down to how the school handles the courses.

Predicted scores don’t have too much impact – IB and AP scores are really more for placement purposes within certain classes. But the fact that you’re taking a full-IB courseload will help you out in admissions. They like to see rigor.

I’m applying for ED to CAS at Penn. My SAT is not that great compared to my GPA/IB grades… you think I have chanceS? If i have good recommendations from teachers/counsellors and spent some time on writing supplement essays? I really really wanna go to Penn so badly  thanks
