I got accepted to this accelerated med program...
Do you think I made the right choice in going here? I applied to the University of South Alabama med program, but they rejected me without interview. So as my final decision, I decided to go to this one, but a lot of people are telling me that these requirements are kind of steep for a med program. Now I feel that i've dug myself into a hole here.

Summary:
30 MCAT
3.5 freshmen year, 3.6 second year, 3.7 third year
The rest of the other technical requirements are on the link... but I just summarized the biggies.

rofl. 30 on am mcat. start cramming. dunno. it's still a lot better than nromal pre-med competition man. i think those requirements are quite reasonable.

Thank you. Now I am a bit excited to start this program... but I really am scared though. I've worked hard throughout high school (I took 5 AP's my final semester, scored a 4.9)... and I hope I can step it up in this program. I only got 1310 on my SAT (but I excel in the sciences and acadmics), but I am getting better at test taking. I really need that 30 (I know that It'll be a big deal when the time comes) , but I know now's not the time to be worrying about it (as I am just entering the program).

Any tips? I'm not a big procrastinator, and I do like reading academic material (hehe, i decided to read some college level chem non-stressfully this summer, because I didn't take AP Chem).

Do you have any advice before I embark on this journey (as I begin in August)?

ahmedqman, don't worry about those requirements, if you have enough skill to get into this program, i'm sure you will be able to fullfill all of them. You shoudn't have a tough time, UCF doesnt' have insanley difficult courses or anything.

i wouldn't take that progam no offense. If you can maintain a 3.6 GPA and get above a 30 on the MCATs, you can actually go to a great med school.

you CAN go to a great med school with those stats. It doesn't mean you will. And trying to get a 3.6 GPA and 30 MCAT while juggling activities, leadership roles, volunteering, application forms, interviews, interviews, and more interviews is very, very difficult.
