<p>Has anyone heard anything from USF's 7 year Med Program?</p>
<p>USF even has a 7 year med program? I though it was only for pharmacy</p>
<p>Aren't you supposed to be a USF Honors Freshman when you apply?</p>
<p>I applied too. The last I heard was I got a postcard in the mail from the Honors College that said my application is now complete and it was being forwarded to the USF College of Medicine. I believe it said that I should be receiving a decision by May 1. So I think its in the hands of the COM now. I also applied via the UCF Honors College. So, hopefully one of them will come through.</p>
<p>Does anyone know how many apply vs. how many they take? I haven't been able to find much at all on this.</p>

<p>No, I don't think so. First, you have to apply to USF and get accepted. Then you have to apply to the USF Honors College and get accepted. If your UW gpa is >= 3.7 and your M+V >= 1350, you are then invited to apply to the accelerated med program. I recall seeing at least one statement in the apps that said completing the apps does not mean you are committing to attending USF. I haven't commited to USF yet and won't consider doing so unless this option comes through.</p>

<p>I also got into the program, but have paid my deposit for the University of Miami. Can anyone give me any advice on what to do! Should I go to USF and enter the 7 year program or go to Miami and apply to med school in four years?</p>
