I was born in the States, but I've lived all 17 years of my life in the Philippines. I am half Chinese and half Filipino.

GPA: I'm not sure yet, but I probably got around 3.6-4.00 (my grades increased from 89% to 94% during high school)

Essay: My essay is about a friend of mine with a disability. I think it is written well enough, but I'm worrying it might be a little bit cliche.

Extracurricular Activities: an active member of a school house, which is like a big club with different activities (4 years), arts (in school and at home, 4 years), music (violin for 4 years, although not very active), community service (food distribution, a total number of 12 hours), cake decorating (one summer), school paper (4 years), student council and class officer (4 years), science and art competitions (1 year), journalism competitions (3 years)

Recommendation Letters, Councilor forms: I think I'll get good remarks from my teachers (Biology and English) and councilor

I will not be submitting my SAT/ACT scores

I am third in a class of 16

For my first year, I got three "with honors" and one "with high honors"; second year two "with honors" and two "with high honors"; third year two "with high honors", two "with highest honors", fourth year, one "with highest honors" (these awards are given quarterly)

I am also submitting an art portfolio with a recommendation letter from my art teacher.

I am also applying for financial aid. My family has a very low income, and I am hoping for a big scholarship. Do you think I have a chance at this? I will apply for early decision. I'll be taking up Biology as my major, and visual arts as my elective.

Thank you
