Basically, this is what happened. Last week I learned that UCSD had uploaded my AP test scores on the MyApplication website. However, there was something extremely fishy when I noticed that NONE of my junior year AP test scores were on the website. I thought "Hmm.. maybe they're not done uploading or something." Then, just recently I get my AP test scores in the mail and they showed the recipient was UCSD. HOWEVER, my junior year test scores were not sent. I also remember not getting my AP test scores in the mail during 11th grade and actually had to call Collegeboard to get my scores (paying with credit card -_-). I have not had a chance to contact Collegeboard yet, but I will as soon as possible. Is there any way UCSD can extend their deadline (their deadline is July 15)? There is no way Collegeboard can send the scores in one day since I will be contacting them Monday regarding this matter. I have already e-mailed UCSD but haven't had any replies. So am I really screwed? The reason I ask is because some of those AP tests were really crucial because I did not take the placement tests for UCSD.

This sounds like Collegeboard's mistake. I'm sure they will help you work it out. Did you ever get a copy of your scores in the mail for Junior year? If you did not, you should have followed up on this. If yes, fax UCSD a copy tomorrow with an explaination and let them know you are contacting the Collegeboard.

Maelstrom99,

If this makes you feel better, I'm in a similar situation. The AP scores from my junior year were also never sent either. CollegeBoard made some sort of mistake with my address... It's a long story. Anyway, I requested a rush score report to be sent, and I don't think UCSD will receive it by 7/15.

Definitely call up CollegeBoard. I think the AP scores should be able to substitute for placement tests as long as they're received by August 15th (when you register for classes).

UPDATE

I did call Collegeboard today and requested a rush delivery. I'm still incredibly *ed off because I had to pay $25 when it was their own f*king fault for not sending in the '07 scores, but whatever, I'll live. I did call UCSD today and they said as long as the scores were sent before the 15th, that I shouldn't have a problem. I'm still doubting Collegeboard though, those money grubbing bastards.

Did you point out to them that the mistake was their fault and therefore you did not have any responsibility to pay for them resending the proper scores? I would have your parent call and request a refund.

Be sure to bring a copy of your AP scores and community college transripts with you to orientation.

Yeah its post marked before the 15th so your safe. I sent my transcript one from Fremont on the 7th, and UCSC on the 2nd and none of them have reached them yet, and they were sent on those days b/c I paid rush processing.
