Our high school has finals for seniors. They’re given a week before the regular finals. There are always a few teachers who choose to forego the final for seniors, but that’s the exception. Even kids who’ve taken an AP exam end up having a final.

No. They spend the last weeks on individual projects, and then present them during finals week.

At our school all students are eligible to be exempt from finals, which are given each semester. The general exemption rules are that the student must have an A average in both quarters and not exceed a certain number of absences (does not include school activities). All students except 2nd semester seniors must take at least 2 finals in academic subjects. All students except 2nd semester seniors can only exempt a particular subject for one of the two semesters.

Second semester seniors have relaxed requirements. They can exempt all their finals and they only have to have a C average to exempt. Attendance requirements still apply.

Our school is like beth’s mom’s. Finals for all seniors are a week ahead of other classes and some few teachers may allow seniors to opt out using their grade as is.

No finals just AP test’s. DS was happy that his last finals were in December!:)

We have finals here in NY for seniors for any Regents class. We have graduation before Regents begin, so we have seniors who walk across the stage but still have to take and pass exams before they get their diploma.

For those whose seniors take their finals a week early, do the juniors and sophomores in those classes take the same test or do they give them a different version? I would think seniors would be telling the younger ones what was on the exam.
