Are your parents on here to, and if so, do they know you come here/what your user name is?

I know my mom doesn't have an account, and she has no idea I have one.

I know my mom doesn't have an account, and she has no idea I have one.

Thank God not. They wouldn’t be able to even if they tried.

my mom knows im on and has seen my posts.

maybe that’s why i choose not to make an a$$ of myself…

I’m very glad they don’t know about this site.

^ Oh yes we do!

My parents know nothing about college admissions… let alone CC

^snap 10char

Hahaha… but anyway, my mom could careless about my grades. I mean she is happy I have good grades, but would be okay if i had all D’s too… So she would not need a CC… And she wants me to go to a in-state college, ugh.

^ my parents don’t care about my grades either.

My report card last year was 2 C+s, 2 B’s, and 2 A-s. A failed Latin exam grade… and you know what my mom said? “Grades don’t matter.”

I wish my mom was like that. I came home last week, and I said, “Mom, I might get a B in math.” Despite her assuring me numerous times she didn’t care what grades I got, she started yelling at me. “What do you mean, you’re getting a B!” etc.
This is why I don’t want them on this site. I see them getting 12,000 posts or something, all titled, “How can my daughter get into a good college” lol.

^ Oh, my mom tried to pretend like she doesn’t care, but she wasn’t too happy when my last report card looked the same way. It makes me mad how she’ll give me crap, but won’t come to any of my school activites, (EG band concerts, open house, awards ceremonies, ect). I don’t think parents should have a right to say anything about grades is they don’t support their child.

Yeah, she always gives me a bunch of crap about how she’s a different kind of Asian parent, and never pushes me. So. Not. True. Lately, she’s been telling me to study at least 4 hours a day for Calculus. But she really is the most supportive parent ever, trying to help me out way too much.
I’m afraid CC would make a monster out of her though.

Ya, my mom doesn’t force me into anything school related. I was failing nearly half of my classes last year. (I knew how to pull them back up and did. I just wasn’t feeling like doing my work.) So, one of my teachers called home. My mom spaced out during the conversation and didn’t do anything about the call at all.

My parents would never come on here. They’re very into the college process or whatever, but posting on a message board is so not them.

She doesn’t force me to do anything, just constantly reminds me to no end.
Yesterday:
Mom: How was your day?
Me: Fine, I got my grades
Mom: Oh, ok. Well, I’m just telling you, you could avoid all this stress if you just studied math more.
Me: Not right now though
Retreat upstairs
When I come back down, same thing…she’s not very good at persuading me, but she keeps on it, so I usually give in after a couple a days.

Now, if she did know about CC, she would be able to enforce things much better…the day she finds out about CC, is the day all relaxation in my life ends.

We won’t spill the beans then.

I think my mom would just laugh if she knew about CC.

No, my mother has a life.

I don’t, though. :(

I think CC would confuse my parents.

If they do, I don’t know. Lol.

I signed my parents up for their own CC accounts myself.

And they still don’t use them.
