i just caught my mom on CC..

<p>i just caught my mom browsing through CC before I came on the computer...she said my brother said i was on this site a lot, and she wanted to 'check up' on what type of site it was.</p>

<p>she expressed her disapproval about this site, saying there's nothing useful on this site and it just looks like a waste</p>

<p>A friend told me about this site, and it actually took me several visits to get to the good parts of the site. Back then I was just looking for college information, not wishy washy extra stuff. But for the first few visits, all I found were the other links on the homepage, and a few of the more useless subforums.</p>

<p>Unlike you guys I have a lot of freedom, I don't know this is a good thing or a bad thing. My parents expect me to get all A's and all, but they don't really care about my academics and they don't care what I do on the computer, well that's because they trust me but mostly they put too much effort into their work.</p>

<p>my mom doesn't know who i am on this site (thank God), and she was mainly looking at the "chance me" section and telling me to be like all the great applicants there, then she went to the cafe section and said it's a waste of time..she didn't look at high school life</p>

<p>i went to dinner with my family, and my brother brought up CC for the sake of bothering me, and my mom said, 'she's too dumb to be on that site anyway.' (it's not my fault she was looking at all the 'chance me for harvard' type threads..)</p>

<p>i got so mad i put down the chopsticks and went outside, whereas my dad had to tell me to come and not spoil the mood..</p>
