can anyone share insights about the different types of DOC trips available??
which trips would be the most fun for those that are not the super outdoorsy type but willing to learn?

I'm not much of an outdoorsy person either.
But I'm still deciding between the Hiking, Photography and Writing trips...

Anyone have any opinions on these trips?

Honestly, you can't really go wrong--they spend a lot of time and effort making every trip as amazing as possible. Trip leader spots are very competitive, because almost everyone wants to go back and lead the freshmen.

For someone who is not outdoorsy but willing to learn, it depends on your current level of physical fitness. If you're in pretty good shape, something like moderate hiking might be decent. (Also, depending on how committed you are to 'learning,' it might be good to get some of the gear). If that's not so much the case, other trips might be better suited. Similarly, if you won't use the gear again, it might be better to do one of the lower-impact trips.
