Does 11th Grade Summer Mean Before 11 Grade?

Or the summer after 11th grade?

The way I would see it is the summer between 10-11. Because for summer reading you are already in the next grade during summer.

at least that’s what I think schools consider it as. I personally think of it as the summer after 11th grade. ask your counselor

kay thanks!

Consider yourself as a rising senior in the summer after junior year, and a rising junior in the summer after sophomore year. That convention serves to address the ambiguity that your post is about. Avoid the “before” and “after” descriptions. Someone will always get them wrong.

I agree with the above posters, but I remember reading in some application FAQ that summer school after 11th grade would go under spring of 11th grade…you might want to check with each college for the actual answer.
